Discount Policies:
Visitors that meet the requirements for free admission will be received only on Tuesday. Those eligible for free admission are:
•Students in all local middle and primary schools (including vocational schools and secondary technical schools) and recognized colleges and universities (not including private universities, adult education colleges and postgraduates or above) may reserve free group tickets in advance until the quota is used up, and visit using their provided Reservation Number; one teacher is admitted free of charge for every 20 students.
•Local citizens over the age of 60 may visit with the provision of their certificates for the elderly.
•Access is only allowed for those with reservation numbers and valid certificates. Those who fail to show such documents are required to purchase tickets.

Free invitation tickets to the Capital Museum are distributed every Wednesday and shall not exceed the approved quota. The corresponding policies are:
•200 invitation tickets to the Capital Museum are freely distributed to the public every Wednesday.
•Visitors shall go to the bamboo courtyard on the first underground floor east of the Capital Museum to pick up invitation tickets according to the order of the telephone reservation from 8:30 to 11:00a.m. every Wednesday.
•Staff of the Capital Museum will distribute the 200 free invitation tickets based on the order of the telephone reservation until the quota is used up.
•Visitors shall get the free invitation ticket by using their valid certificate. Distribution is limited to per person.
•Visitors using the free invitation ticket cannot visit the special exhibitions. Tickets are only valid on the date indicated.

Year-round Free Admission Policies
•Retired people with the provision of their certificates of retirement
•Disabled people with the provision of their certificates of disability
•Disabled soldiers with the provision of their certificates of disability
•Staff working in the culture and museum systems with the provision of their employment certificates
• Children less than 120cm in height and accompanied by adults (those without adult accompaniment will not be admitted and the accompanying adult must purchase a ticket as per regulations)

Year-round Half Price Discount Policies
•Senior citizens with the provision of their certificates for the elderly
•Students in all local middle and primary schools (including vocational schools and secondary technical schools) and recognized colleges and universities (not including private universities, adult education colleges and postgraduates or above) with the provision of their Student ID cards. Accompanying adults must purchase tickets as per regulations
•Teachers with the provision of the teacher certificates
• Military personnel of active service (including armed policemen) with the provision of their certificates of servicemen

Related explanations
•Travel agencies making reservations should contact the Group Reception Office.
•Tickets are valid on the date indicated. Advance tickets are not available.
•Interim arrangements of the Museum should be followed in the event of important activities.
•The Capital Museum reserves the right to final interpretation of any rules.

Notice to visitors:
1. Admission by ticket only. No smoking inside the museum.
2.Please accept the security check and obey the relevant provisions of the Museum and follow the instruction of the working staff.
3.People having difficulty in moving about or with potential disease should be accompanied by others.
4.Please exercise caution for some exhibition halls have smooth floors and dark light.
5.Please exercise caution and protect your personal articles when passing the ladders, alleyways and corridors. Please maintain public hygiene. Dispose of waste only in marked litter containers.
6.Those who are not properly dressed, inebriated or suffering from mental disorders shall not enter the Museum.
7.No drinks, food or the utensils, animals, combustible and explosive goods, dangerous articles, controlled instruments and other dangerous articles shall be taken into the museum. Video recording and flash photography are forbidden.
8.Tripods are not allowed in exhibition halls.
9.Please don’t touch the exhibits. Do not climb or lie down.
10.Please observe public order. Shoes having wheels such as roller-skates and Heelys are prohibited inside the museum. Please speak quietly and avoid running, playing and using mobile phones in the exhibition halls.
